Memorial Day festival ideas

Monday, May 21, 2018

Memorial Day weekend is upon us and we have a lot of things that you can do this day. It’s not just a day to honor those that came before us but also to spend time enjoying the opportunities that we have and that makes the celebrations and unofficial beginning of summer even better.

Here is a small list of things you can do if you’re in the Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky area.

Evanston Memorial Day Parade located near Evanston Recreation Center at
3204 Woodburn Ave.
Cincinnati, OH 45207

This is a parade that starts around 10:00am and makes a 2-mile loop and there are information tables

In Dayton they have a place you can ice cream near Young’s Jersey Dairy and then also play miniature golf as well as ride on slides and they also have batting cages and some carnival rides. Check their website for more.

There is a place called Feast of the Flowering Moon Festival and you can hear music and dancing and exhibits.

There is also the Heritage Festival near Carillon and the Patriot Freedom Festival as well.

Also don’t forget Scene 75 for fun and games as well as the Freedom 5K run for something to do. Lastly there is also the Victory Dance and Dinner.
