Is it important? While we are not a health organization we do point out certain things that others highlight. A flu vaccine is supposed to protect against influenza viruses. These are developed twice a year because the virus changes quick fast over time. While some vaccines are more effective in some years than others they are supposed to reduce the amount of time that people are sick and also able to transmit to others, reduce hospital time and visits and also more serious conditions. Thus it is supposed to make recovery time quicker to go back to work.

While it is thought to be safe in general, there are feelings of fatigue in the muscles and also certain allergies to egg-based proteins used in the vaccine. There are also other syndromes that can develop in certain people. The delivery method for the vaccine can be through injection or spray.

A lot of times the flu vaccine is covered by your insurance.

With the cold season coming, use your own judgment as to whether you think you should get one this year.

Typical symptoms of flu include fever, muscle pains, runny nose, sore throat, headache, coughing, sneezing and fatigue. Sometimes there may also be diarrhea and vomiting in children but it’s less common in adults. This virus can be spread through the air.
